Hanuman Movie 2024 Review

5/5 - (3 votes)

After watching the Hanuman movie, the first question that will come to your mind is how much this movie was made in the budget because last year we saw a Ramayana, and similar movies, with a budget of 600 crores. This is India’s first superhero movie where the superpowers come from our history gods. In this movie, Hanuman Ji’s super strength is showcased, and in the teaser of Adhira movie, Indra Dev’s lightning power is shown, which indicates that the film is very serious. We will start reviewing the movie. There are many negative points as well, but let me say this first: Director Prashant Verma’s vision and his religious consciousness have created a convincing story.

Movie Review: “Hanuman”

We will review it later; it is 2 hours and 40 minutes long. I watched the movie in Telugu. Hanuman is the first positive thing; all the scenes without VFX look stunning, and the build-up of some action scenes, for example, when Hanuman’s superpower comes and he realizes he has superpowers, reminded me of Spiderman part one. I was 15 years old at the time, and whatever changes came after Spiderman gets bitten felt real. Similarly, I felt that realism in this movie too. So, imagine if a 30-plus person like me can feel this realism, then for a 15-year-old watching it in the theater, it will be a Spiderman moment. But let’s talk about the negatives.

Before discussing the negatives, let’s talk about the wow moments in the background of our superhero. Look at how Lord Rama is portrayed in the movie. I won’t spoil it, but the scene where Batman comes wearing a skeleton mask in the jungle, what a fight scene that was, what imagination! Now, in a superhero movie, until there is no emotional connection, the whole movie feels dull, just imagination. But in this movie, the relationship between the brother and sister touched my heart. In the trailer, when we saw them fighting with a bundle of coconuts, it was a comedy but it still connected, made you laugh. After getting superpowers, when he dismisses his milkman friend, and stands in front of a train, what a spoiler I won’t give, but it was fun.

One day before, on Thursday, they had a premiere show. There were fewer people, but everyone was laughing. Now let’s come to the negatives. The first illogical moment until the hero is not given superpowers, you can’t show him as a superhero; it seems illogical. It feels like the hero has been stabbed with a knife, half murdered, thrown from a mountain, and then into the sea. He is diving deep into the sea; what is happening? And all these scenes are happening continuously in one scene. You’ll ask, what logic are you looking for, you would have covered it with stunning VFX for the villain, right? But no, even children’s audiences seriously take superhero movies. But this movie has proved that India will have to take superhero movies seriously.

The last 5 minutes of this movie on one side, and a team of Adi Purush made in 600 crores on the other side. Keep both of them side by side, and the memes of both VFX will show 100% similarity. Finally, before Indian cinema, first Minnal Murali, then Brahmastra, then Maviran, and now Hanuman, the filmmakers have cracked the code of how to make superhero movies that Indians will love. Keeping all this in mind, I would like to give this movie a 7 out of 10. If there’s a small child in your house and you’re not taking him to watch this movie, then you are committing a crime, brother. That child also deserves a Spiderman moment like you.
